What kind of pump should be used to transport hydrofluoric acid?

At present, the main pumps used to transport hydrofluoric acid are Teflon centrifugal pump, PTFE lined magnetic pump and fluoroplastic self-priming pump and so on. However, most enterprises are not very clear about the model and are generally called "hydrofluoric acid pump". So, which kind of pump is better to transport hydrofluoric acid?

First of all, we have to analyze the lining material. Now there are three widely used materials: graphite lining and PTFE lining and ceramic bearing; both of them are made of carbon steel with low cost and good effect; the third is to choose corrosion-resistant alloys, such as nickel-based alloy 00Cr21Ni42Mo3Cu2, Cr21Ni68Mo5Cu3, etc., which is more expensive.

Hydrofluoric acid medium our company has done a lot of anti-corrosion equipment and pipes. Basically use steel tetrafluorine material. 800 series and 600 series nickel-based alloys generally need to be lined with tetrafluorine. The service life alone is not high, but after the R & D and improvement of our company's technology department, there has been a qualitative leap in working life and work efficiency. Series 600 nickel alloy is a better material for HF, and 625 is widely used in fluorine chemical industry. We are also looking for a pipeline for hydrogen fluoride. As far as I know, it can be done in the following ways:

1. PFA has good corrosion resistance to hydrofluoric acid with a concentration of more than 50% at room temperature. in order to prevent the destruction of the passivation layer, it is also required to limit the flow rate and agitation of the material. For hydrofluoric acid from anhydrous to 50%, there is a certain degree of corrosion when the temperature is above 80 ℃.

2. Nickel-copper alloy material Ni-Mo-Cr-Fe alloy (Ni-Mo-Fe (Hastelloy B), and Ni-Mo-Cr-Fe (Hastelloy C) alloy has good corrosion to all concentrations of hydrofluoric acid and anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, but the price is more expensive.

Through the above analysis, the pump lined with Teflon PTFE can transport hydrofluoric acid perfectly after fine-tuning the internal flow components, and successfully solve all kinds of difficulties encountered by enterprises in conveying this medium.
