Requirements for pipeline installation of acid and alkali resistant pumps

Acid and alkali resistant pump

1. All pipes connected to the pump (pipe burst test) should have independent and solid support to reduce pipe vibration and prevent pipe weight from pressing on the pump.

2. The inlet and outlet pipeline of the pump should be equipped with an adjustable bracket. For the pipe with vibration, the damping bracket should be installed to properly adjust the position of the pipe and reduce the additional force caused by the installation error to the pump nozzle.

3. When the pipe connecting the pump and the equipment is short and the two are not on the same basis, the connecting pipe should have certain flexibility or increase the metal hose to compensate for the uneven settlement of the foundation.

4. The diameter of the suction and discharge pipe should not be less than the inlet and outlet diameter of the pump.

5. The suction pipeline of the pump should meet the net positive suction head (NPSH) required by the pump, and the pipeline should be as short as possible with small bending. When the length of the pipe exceeds the distance between the equipment and the pump, the process system should be consulted for accounting.

6. The length of the straight pipe before the inlet of the centrifugal pump should not be less than 3D of the inlet diameter.

7. In order to prevent cavitation in the IH centrifugal pump, the elevation of the inlet nozzle pipe from the equipment to the pump should be gradually reduced, and there should be no U-shaped pipe in the middle! When inevitable, an exhaust valve should be added at the high point and a drain valve at the low point.
