Acid and lye is a commonly used raw material in chemical production, in which there are many acidic liquids, but because of the special acidity, many acid-resistant pump materials can not be used as the transport materials of acidic liquids. Commonly used cast iron and stainless steel materials also need to judge whether the conditions are applicable.
1. Pump for sulfuric acid
Sulfuric acid pump is divided into dilute sulfuric acid pump and concentrated sulfuric acid pump, the former has a wide range of choices, dilute sulfuric acid pump can choose engineering plastic pump, ceramic pump, F46 pump, F26 pump, the latter (concentrated sulfuric acid pump) can only choose fluoroplastic (F46) pump. Concentrated sulfuric acid corrodes ordinary engineering plastics, but fluoroplastics do not. In addition, we should pay attention to the high density of concentrated sulfuric acid and the high power of the motor when selecting the pump. The simple algorithm is that the shaft power * 1.84 is the shaft power when conveying concentrated sulfuric acid.
2. Seawater pump.
Ordinary steel in sodium chloride solution and sea water, salt water corrosion rate is not too high, generally need to use paint protection; all kinds of stainless steel also have a very low uniform corrosion rate, but may be caused by chloride ion caused local corrosion, usually 316 stainless steel is better, but its price is higher, it is recommended to choose fluoroplastic centrifugal pump, such as IHF chemical centrifugal pump.
3. Pumps for hydrochloric acid
The commonly used concentration of hydrochloric acid is 38%, so the hydrochloric acid pump is basically as long as the overcurrent parts are made of plastic, but if you consider the service life, performance-to-price ratio and other aspects, you can choose FSB fluorine alloy centrifugal pump or CQB-F magnetic pump, the price and performance of these two pumps are satisfactory.
Note: the magnetic pump is in the form of static seal, so there is no need to consider the sealing. Centrifugal pumps generally use external bellows mechanical seals, which have good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. If the conveying medium contains particles, hard to hard mechanical seals can be used.
The acid-proof pump should not be exposed for a long time in the course of use. There should be shelter from the sun and rain. The inlet of the acid-proof pump should be equipped with a filter device and the outlet should be equipped with a check valve device to avoid re-damage of the medium backflow.
