Installation, repair and maintenance of fluorine-lined valves

The fluorine-lined valve is specially used to control corrosive or strongly corrosive medium. the inner surface of the valve body is covered with a variety of fluoroplastics to choose from, which is suitable for different working temperatures and fluid pipelines, with the characteristics of high strength and good corrosion resistance.

The working environment of the fluorine-lined valve is harsh, either toxic and harmful chemicals, or highly corrosive, all kinds of acids, bases or organic solutions, improper use will lead to economic losses and serious consequences. Proper use and maintenance of the valve can prolong the service life of the fluorine-lined valve, prevent all kinds of accidents and ensure the normal operation of the pipeline. Therefore, the following points must be paid attention to in installation, repair and maintenance:

1. fluorine-lined valve flange cover plate can not be opened at will, unless ready to connect with the pipeline, otherwise PTFE flange may be due to temperature difference, foreign body caused by bumps, scratches or distortions and affect the seal, such as the need for inspection to move the cover, but also must wait for inspection to reset the cover as soon as possible to protect the PTFE flange.

2. When the fluorine-lined valve is connected with the pipeline, the gasket is no longer used alone, but when it is connected with the flange surface of dissimilar materials (metal surface, etc.), the appropriate gasket should be used to protect the PTFE flange surface.

3. When the fluorine-lined valve is in use, if the leakage occurs at a higher temperature, the system temperature should be reduced to room temperature first, and then the cause should be found out and maintenance should be carried out.

4. Any high temperature welding work on the fluorine-lined valve is not allowed to avoid damage to the lining layer.

5. During installation, the flange nut should be tightened uniformly according to the diagonal direction (symmetrical) and equipped with appropriate torque:

A-if there is a leak on the flange cover and the nut in the leakage position is locked, loosen the half circle of the nut in the leakage position and lock it again with the same torque on the opposite side.

B-if the above method has not stopped the leakage, the PTFE flange should be checked for concave and convex indentation and scratches. At that time, it can be leveled and reconnected with fine yarn paper and cloth.

6. Fluorine-lined valves should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and stacking is strictly prohibited.

7. After maintenance, the fluorine-lined valve should be tested according to the relevant standards before installation.

8. When manually operating the fluorine-lined valve, it is not allowed to force the valve to open or close with the help of other levers.

9. Fluorine-lined valves with directional requirements should pay attention to the flow direction of the media in the direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body, and keep the operation and maintenance convenient.

10. The sealing pair of the fluorine-lined valve stored for a long time should be in a state of micro-opening and separation, so as to avoid the long-term deformation of the sealing surface under pressure and affect the sealing performance and service life.
