What is the reason for the abnormal noise of the chemical pump?

Chemical pumps

A.Chemical corrosion resistant centrifugal pump leakage.

When the centrifugal pump is installed, it is required that there should be a strict seal between the pump body and the pipeline, and between the pump shell and the pump shaft, otherwise there will be leakage. There are usually two kinds of leakage during the operation of the pump: one is that the liquid in the pump leaks to the outside of the pump along the loose seal, which will affect the transport capacity of the pump; second, the external air is poured into the suction inlet of the pump. Air entry can easily lead to the phenomenon of air entrapment. The seal of centrifugal pump can be divided into two forms: mechanical seal and packing seal. The mechanical seal has good sealing effect and long service life. If the vibration of the pump is too large, it is easy to destroy the liquid film on the seal end surface and lead to the leakage of the mechanical seal, which can cause wear, cracking or damage of the mechanical seal. The compressed packing seal has the advantages of simple structure, convenient assembly and maintenance, easy to find the sealing fault of the pump in time, and is more suitable for the intermittent operation of the centrifugal pump.

B.Centrifugal pump produces vibration or abnormal sound.

1. Incorrect installation of pump body and pump shaft.

The effective energy of the liquid through the centrifugal pump is obtained from the impeller of the pump, while the energy of the impeller is obtained from the pump shaft, and the energy obtained by the pump shaft is provided by the motor. When the pump is running, the pump shaft drives the impeller to rotate at a high speed. If the installation of the pump body and the pump shaft is not correct, it will cause the impeller to deviate from the friction with the pump shell, resulting in vibration and serious damage to the impeller and pump shell.

2. Cavitation phenomenon leads to abnormal sound inside the pump.

Excessive resistance of the suction pipeline, lax sealing, leakage into the air, too high temperature of the liquid being sucked, too large flow, and so on, will cause cavitation, resulting in abnormal sound or violent vibration in the pump.

3. The installation is not firm and the fasteners are loose.

After the corrosion-resistant centrifugal pump starts, the impeller will rotate at a high speed. If the installation of the centrifugal fire pump is not firm, or if the fastener is loose caused by long-time operation, the pump will produce vibration, noise and even be damaged in a short time.

4. Wear between impeller and sealing ring.

If the impeller and the sealing ring can not guarantee a good lubrication state, the wear between them will increase the gap, and when the gap exceeds a certain value, it will lead to vibration and noise of the pump. The degree of wear increases with the running time of the pump.
