Why is the chemical pump leaking?

After installing and adjusting the leak-proof and corrosion-resistant chemical pump, static tests are usually carried out to observe the amount of leakage. If the leakage is small, it is mostly a moving ring or static ring sealing problem: when the leakage is large, there is a friction problem between the moving ring and the static ring. On the basis of the preliminary observation of the leakage and judging the location of the leakage, the artificial blocking observation was carried out. If the amount of leakage does not change significantly, it is static. Dynamic sealing ring problem: if there is a significant change in the leakage of the sealing ring, it can be judged as a dynamic and static ring friction problem: if the sealing ring is sprayed along the axial direction of the leaking medium, most of the dynamic ring sealing problems, if the leaking medium is sprayed from around or leaked from the water-cooled hole, most of the static ring seal fails. In addition, there may be leakage channels.

If the leakage occurs during the trial operation, the centrifugal force caused by high-speed rotation during the operation of the corrosion-resistant centrifugal pump will restrain the medium leakage. Therefore, in the process of trial operation, the mechanical seal leakage is basically caused by the damage of the static ring friction pair after the troubleshooting of the shaft seal and the end cover seal.

The main causes of seal failure of friction pair are as follows:

1. In the process of operation, due to the abnormal phenomena such as exhaust, cavitation and pressure, the axial force is large, which makes the contact surface of the static ring and the moving ring separate.

2. When the mechanical seal is installed and used, the compression amount is too large, which leads to serious wear on the end face of the friction pair.

3. The sealing ring of the movable ring is too tight and the spring can not adjust the axial floating of the movable ring. The static ring seal ring is too loose, when the moving ring axially floats, the static ring is separated from the static ring seat.

4. The working medium includes granular material, friction pair, flaw detection device, electrostatic seal end face, etc.

5. When this happens, most seals need to be removed and replaced.
