Special precautions for self-priming pump

Installation:

1. The pump arrives at the use site after long-distance transportation. Before installation, it is necessary to check whether the parts of the whole machine are intact and the fasteners should be fastened.

2. During installation, the hydraulic loss of the suction pipeline should be reduced as much as possible, no elbows less than 90 °should be installed, and no more than 2 elbows on the inlet pipeline should be installed, and the pump inlet should be provided with a filter to prevent large impurities from entering the pump and ensure the normal operation of the pump. during installation, reduce the length of the inlet pipe as much as possible (this will reduce the air in the inlet line, thus reduce the self-priming time and increase the work efficiency).

3. The connecting bolts of the inlet pipe must be evenly tightened, the seal must be tight, there must be no air leakage, and soft flange gaskets (such as fluororubber) should be used as far as possible, otherwise the self-priming performance of the pump will be seriously affected.

Considerations for operation and use:

1. Check whether the running direction of the motor is consistent with that of the pump, and do not reverse it!

2. The pump must be filled with liquid to start the operation, and no idle operation is strictly prohibited. If the pump cannot produce liquid in 5-7 minutes within the prescribed self-priming height, it should stop immediately to check the cause (mainly check whether the inlet pipe is leaking or not, so as to prevent the working liquid in the pump from heating up and damaging the pump.

3. The first operation of the unit needs to inject liquid into the pump body, and then the pump can be started directly every time. Generally, there is no need for liquid injection, but there is leakage in the seal for a long time or after stopping, and there is liquid loss in the pump. Before the second start-up, you should check the liquid in the pump and fill it up before starting.

4. When it is not used for a long time in winter, the liquid in the pump should be drained so as not to be frozen and cannot work properly.
